Snowy Days.

Winter is my favourite season. Frosty mornings, cosy nights, wrapping up warm in big coats and scarves, endless hot chocolates topped with cream and marshmallows... On Boxing Day it snowed where I live. It started in the early evening and snowed through the whole night, meaning we woke up to a winter wonderland. We had been at my grandparents house that evening, as we always do on December 26th, and my grandad came in to tell us we had better go home or we'd end up stuck at their house - clearly he didn't want me, my cousins and all of our parents overnight! We slipped and slid home and stayed indoors with the fire on to escape the snow storm outside.

The next day everyone on my estate was busy shovelling out their driveways, and several kind neighbours took out tea and biscuits. This was a good move, as the next day the snow froze completely and if your driveway hadn't been cleared you were going nowhere in your car. I helped several children to build snowmen on their front gardens, and we had a huge snowball fight. We drove to my Aunt and Uncle's house the day after, and the fields at either side of the motorway looked really pretty covered in a blanket of snow.

Do you like the winter weather?

xoxo
